The Aluminum Tightrope (2019)
- The Aluminum Tightrope: Creation in Montreal (before world tour)
In 2017, Le Moulin à vent Productions met a tightrope walker Laurence Tremblay-Vu through Alex Trahan, (actor and director) and participated in a stage of the creation of a Greek tragedy (Les Etoiles Tomberons), the first of which was held in September at the top of the slopes of Saint-Bruno Ski Resort.
The current flows straight into the director of Le Moulin à vent Productions, Christophe Meunier, and the tightrope walker. The idea of designing a structure for Laurence Tremblay-Vu, light and transportable, is launched in the air.
At the end of 2018, while Laurence was selected to present a tightrope number at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris at the beginning of 2019, Christophe the designer and Laurence the artist met and challenged themselves to create a structure in 1 month of time. The structure was almost ready for the festival, but Laurence was ultimately loaned a structure in France.
- Lightweight, strong and completely removable
Encouraged by his silver medal (one of the world’s highest distinctions in contemporary circus circles), he plans to finish his new structure for the summer. On June 1, 2019, the new structure of the tightrope was installed at Jeanne-Mance Park in Montreal … on which he immediately felt safe and magnificent sensations.
This last structure of Le Moulin à vent Productions is unique and Laurence Tremblay-Vu was able to transport it around the world (everything is removable and even fits in a small car) to present her high-flying acts.
